Privacy PolicyReturn to: With the exception of credit card payments, which are discussed below, any information gathered through the submission of forms on this web site is solely for the use of LIMedia. We will never sell the personal information supplied to us in good faith by our visitors. We will not sell or lease e-mail addresses or any other member information to any third party. LIMedia provides clients and web site visitors with the convenience of making payments by credit card. Credit card payments initiated from the LIMedia web site are processed by trusted, nationally known third party credit card processing agents, which provide the necessary authorization, real-time processing, and gateway services necessary for credit card payment approval to take place in a nearly instantaneous manner. These processing agents have been chosen, not only by LIMedia but by many thousands of other companies that require real-time credit card processing, due to their solid reputation and the high level of security and privacy they provide for customers who wish to pay by credit card. LIMedia is proud of its stand against SPAM (unsolicited commercial e-mail). We only send e-mail to those who provide their e-mail addresses so that we can keep them informed about their accounts, the LIMedia web site, or other important information pertaining to their experience with LIMedia services. We may make use of small files ("cookies") that reside on the client computer from time to time. Cookies are very small files that have technical limitations that make it impossible for a web site to identify the identity of the user, access other files on the user's computer, or otherwise jeopardize personal privacy. A great many web sites use them to help customize your browsing experience, including Amazon, eBay, Microsoft, and AOL, to name just a few. You may submit any questions you have regarding LIMedia's privacy policy to admin@LIMedia.com. Payment and Refund PoliciesReturn to: Since LIMedia handles payments for a variety of services, the information below has been grouped by the type of service to which it pertains. Advertising on LIMedia Web Sites Payments: Payment for advertising on web sites owned and operated by LIMedia is due and payable within 30 days of the placement of the advertisement online. Late Payments: If an amount remains delinquent 30 days after its due date, an additional 1.5% penalty will be added for each month of delinquency. LIMedia reserves the right to remove advertisements from LIMedia web sites when payment is past due until final payment is made. In case collection proves necessary, the client agrees to pay all fees incurred by that process. Refunds: In the event of a cancellation of an advertisement scheduled to be placed on a web site owned and operated by LIMedia, a full refund will be granted if LIMedia has been notified of the cancellation in writing prior to the placement of the advertisement online. Once the advertisement has been placed online, no refunds will be granted. Web Hosting Services Payments: Payments for LIMedia web hosting services must be made by the due date prior to the start of each service period. For the convenience of our clients, LIMedia offers a choice of annual and quarterly billing for its hosting services. In addition, all web hosting accounts require a setup fee. This is a one-time only fee, except in the event that a client fails to renew hosting services when due, as described in the Late Payments section below. Late Payments: If payment has not reached LIMedia prior to the renewal date for the web hosting account under the billing plan in effect, hosting services will be halted until payment has been received. Once web hosting services have been halted, a new setup fee must be paid to restart web hosting services, in addition to the regular payment due for the applicable hosting term. Refunds: Due to the strict policies regarding refunds that are commonplace among our upstream service providers, hosting fees are non-refundable. However, you may cancel your hosting at any time and have your web site removed from the servers that deliver them to the Internet. Domain Name Registrations Payments: Due to the tremendous demand for meaningful, concise domain names, and the time sensitivity involved in registering the best domain names before they are taken by competitors of our clients, LIMedia sometimes registers domain names on behalf of our clients prior to receiving payment. We do this in good faith that our clients will pay us promptly once the registration of the domain name(s) has taken place. Payment for domain name registrations is due and payable within 15 days from the effective date of registration. Late Payments: If an amount remains delinquent 30 days after its due date, an additional 1.5% penalty will be added for each month of delinquency. LIMedia reserves the right to request a change of ownership of the domain name from the domain name registrar if payment has not been received within 60 days after its due date. In case collection proves necessary, or in the case of a legal dispute over ownership of the domain name resulting from the lack of receipt of payment within 60 days of its due date, the client agrees to pay all fees incurred by that process. Refunds: In keeping with standard practices in the domain name registration industry, no refunds will be granted for domain name registration once the registration has taken place. Web Design and Custom Software Development The best way to summarize our policies regarding payments, late payments, and refunds for web design and custom software projects is to quote the clauses pertaining to those issues from our standard development contract: Payments: "This agreement begins with an initial payment of $_____________ US [amount varies according to project type and size]. This initial payment is due and payable to LIMedia within 15 days of signing this contract. The balance after the initial payment has been made is due when the project has been completed. All payments must be made in US funds." For large projects, LIMedia and its clients often agree to a schedule of payments that is fair and equitable to both parties. These agreements are designed to achieve a balance between work completed and payments received over the longer time periods typically required for very large projects, and effectively reduce the level of risk assumed by both parties. Late Payments: "If an amount remains delinquent 30 days after its due date, an additional 1.5% penalty will be added for each month of delinquency. LIMedia reserves the right to remove web pages from viewing on the Internet when payment is past due until final payment is made. In case collection proves necessary, Client agrees to pay all fees incurred by that process." Refunds: "If Client halts work and applies to LIMedia in writing for a refund at any point after work has begun on a project, work completed as of the receipt of such notice by LIMedia shall be billed at the hourly rate stated above, and deducted from the payments previously received, the balance of which shall be returned to Client. If, at the time of the request for refund, work has been completed beyond the amount covered by the payments previously received, Client shall be liable to pay for all work completed at the hourly rate stated above."
